I think tumblr often forgets how goddamn often that they objectify men

Take the ‘300 men’ post that has been floating around. It is essentially a picture of men who made very scantily clad take on’s of the Spartan 300 movie out fits. People are commenting:

“wow get in bed with me” or “it must be my birthday”

Hello. If you and some pals decided to cosplay a version of Wolverine and other X-men where you wore bikinis would you want people objectifying and cat calling you all across the internet?

No you fucking wouldn’t. Why won’t you just fucking give men the same respect. Men aren’t YOUR sexual objects either, they are human fucking beings that can fucking go out in a speedo and should deserve the same respect you give the women walking around in bikinis

Why aren’t you commenting “wow I wish I was that confident” or “they did such a great job on that cosplay” LIKE ANY OTHER PICTURE OF THE SAME TYPE BUT WITH A FEMALE
